Tops (Shirts, Blouses, Knits, T-Shirts, Coats, Jackets)

Shoulder to Shoulder:

  • Lay the garment flat, ensuring it is smooth and wrinkle-free.
  • Measure horizontally from one shoulder seam to the other, across the back.

Chest:

  • With the garment still laid flat, measure straight across from one underarm seam to the other.
  • Multiply by two if you need the total circumference.

Sleeve:

  • Lay the garment flat.
  • Start at the shoulder seam and measure along the top of the sleeve down to the cuff edge.

    Full Length:

    • Identify the highest point of the garment at the shoulder or collar seam.
    • Measure straight down the front to the bottom hem.

This also goes for the half sleeve tees as well.

    Trousers:

    Waist

    • Lay the trousers flat, fastened, and smooth out wrinkles. Measure across the waistband from one edge to the other, then multiply by two for the total waist circumference

    Inseam

    • Measure along the inside leg seam, starting from the crotch and running straight down to the hem.

    Full Length / Outseam

    • Measure along the outer side of the trousers, from the top edge of the waistband down to the hem.

      Additional Tips

      • Use a flexible measuring tape, keeping it flat and taut without stretching.
      • Smooth out the garment on a flat surface for accuracy.
      • All measurements are provided in centimetre (cm) for consistency and easy comparison.
